About DJ Anders - a short musical biography

I have consumed music as long as I can remember. With the first 7” single bought from one of my weekly allowances as a kid – Abba “Waterloo” – my record collection started to build up. Starting out as a Radio DJ in secondary school, I soon got my first live gig 1983 in front of some hundreds of students at my school. Electronic music was early on, from “Pop Corn” with Hot Butter, via Jean Michel Jarre, to Kraftwerk and the full Synth Wave in early eighties.

From the moment I picked up Farley “Jackmaster” Funk with Love Can’t Turn Around most likely from the first import batch of that 12” Chicago House Classic in mid-Eighties, EDM has always been there in the crater. Totally hooked to “Joy of Life EDM” as I define it, I continue to spread the love vibes from the booth, with a contagious smile and energetic spread in full contact with the audience in high spirit. From the progressive sweaping meditative beats sliding over at the other side of the scale via the melodic and big hall room peak-time anthems, to the techier, harder beats the longer into the night the set continues, they all fit in into my sets - from veterans like Armin, Above&Beyond, Markus Schulz and Marco V to shooting stars of more recent date like Mat Zo, Benya, Tenishia and Sander van Doorn. I love to mix the classics with the hot new tunage in a blend where I am closest to “Be the Change I want to See”, and living my vision RE:LOVE THE WORLD – “a world where you meet your fellow human being with Love and Respect, and can be expected to be met with the same”.

I cooperate deeply nowadays with the proud association NEMCOM, Norrköping Electronic Music Community, and I’ve had several gigs on their events and also other promotors here. In daylight time when the cyber/strobe/spots are turned off, I am run a freelancing business with all related to “sustainopreneurship” (entrepreneurship and innovation for sustainability - I started the Wikipedia article on subject) with the brand SLICE Services and Publishing™, a topic I also do pioneering academic research on with many publications, and which is blogged extensively in many formats, both in English and Swedish. I also author a book on the subject at the moment. All in the name of Peace, Love, Unity and Respect!

See you on the dancefloor!

Peace, Anders
